Lovers unfolds across still images and video, tracing the fragile threshold between closeness and constraint. The figures hover in a suspended state, merging and dissolving, reaching and retreating.

Connection emerges as something unstable, a shifting alignment rather than a fixed bond. The bodies negotiate space in real time, testing how near they can come without disappearing into one another.

The figures never fully settle. They lean, adjust, hesitate. What passes between them is subtle: pressure, breath, a shared weight that remains unstable.

Active Rest: An Exploration of Time
20 Feb - 4 April

BEK Forum
Schleifmühlgasse 6, 1040 Wien

Active Rest: An Exploration of Time invites a shift in how time is felt. Rather than something to be spent or managed, time is experienced as cyclical, bodily, and present, something we can enter, remain within, and choose.
Through installation, painting, scent, objects, and image-making, the exhibition explores rest as an active state: a fragile balance between movement and stillness, intimacy and distance, care and risk. Rest appears as a practice, one that unfolds through attention, sensation, and duration.
Visitors are invited to slow the pulse of time, to feel it rather than measure it, and to rest not by stopping, but by choosing how to be present.
